The Happy Lapper Story
In March of 2010 I purchased a frozen dog treat for my dog Abby. When I placed the treat on the floor and she began to lick the treat, it was obvious that she was frustrated trying to keep the treat in place. I felt sorry for her, so for the next 15 minutes I held the cup. Although she was now enjoying her treat, it was not very convenient for me.
As I sat holding the cup the thought entered my mind that I should design a holder to keep the treats in place, making my life easier and definitely letting Abby enjoy her treat the way she deserves to. A vision of a rubbery type of holder with an extended paw portion came to mind! So the following day I purchased 6 containers of modeling clay to mold up the vision into something physical to look at. I showed the modeling clay mold to several friends and family. They thought it was a great idea, so I approached my attorney to start the process of developing the product.
After a year of many prototypes and testing, the Happy Lapper has come to life! I’m pleased to finally be able to share this product with other dog lovers making our life easier and most importantly helping our dogs enjoy their treats the way they deserve!

Homemade Treats
An added benefit is that you can make your own homemade treats and freeze them...in containers, a muffin pan, or just scoop them directly into the Happy Lapper! It's dishwasher safe.
